The evaluation assesses the implementation of Directive 2018/1673 on combating money laundering by criminal law. Pursuant to Article 14 (2) of this Directive, the Commission has to submit a report to the European Parliament and to the Council assessing the added value of this Directive with regard to combating money laundering as well as its impact on fundamental rights and freedoms. The evaluation will also assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and coherence of the Directive.
