The Commission is starting an evaluation of Directive (EU) 2017/541. Its main objective is to assess the added value of the directive with regard to combating terrorism. The evaluation will look at the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, coherence, achieved EU added value of the Directive, and its impact on fundamental rights and freedoms, the rule of law, and on the level of protection and assistance provided to victims of terrorism.
