Evaluation of mandatory country of origin labelling for certain meats

In view of better informing consumers, legislation requires that for certain meats (e.g.: swine, sheep, goats and poultry) an indication of the country of origin or place of provenance is obligatory. This evaluation aims to assess to what extent it is carried out in efficient, effective, coherent and relevant manner and finally, what an EU added value is.
