The European Environment Agency (EEA) and its European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET) aim at providing the EU and its Member States with objective, reliable and comparable environmental information as well as necessary technical and scientific support. This evaluation will assess the performance of EEA/EIONET and the relevance of its mandate, which was reinforced in the context of the European Green Deal, the 8th Environment Action Programme and the Climate Law.
