The purpose of the interim evaluation is to assess the implementation of Council Regulation (EU) 2016/369 on the provision of emergency support within the Union ('the Regulation') in Greece, in the context of the refugee and migration crisis. Article 8(2) of the Regulation requires the Commission to submit an evaluation of the operation of the Regulation to the Council by 17 March 2019, together with suggestions for the future of the Regulation and, where appropriate, proposals to terminate it.
