Response to A New Deal for Consumers – revision of the Injunctions Directive

16 Nov 2017

As a consumer in China, where the e-commerce is flourishing in full swing and counterfeiting being rampant, we strongly suggest that some extended, comprehensive and effective means be deployed to protect the consumers, completely winding up the outrageous wrongful behaviors of the unlawful traders. So we prefer the option 4--option 3+. Moreover, we suggest EU stay alert to the following aspects: 1. cross-boarder e-commerce transactions, say from China, which is growing and encouraged; 2. falsified number of transactions, for they are intended to mislead the consumer to believe they are doing well and pretend to be acknowledged traders or famous brand; 3. low quality and counterfeiting goods flooding the online market; 4. revenge by illegal traders against who dare give unsatisfactory remarks on websites, some even do telephone irritation or blackmailing or personal harm upon the consumer. That's is to say, besides perfecting the procedural administration or judiciary means, some substantive tools should also be put in place. As e-commerce is the trend, it can never be too much stress to put on it.

Response to Evaluation of the provision of emergency support within the Union

28 Sept 2017

Dear DG: Firstly, more survey should be pursued and focused in these areas: -Key 'lessons learnt' from the emergency support Actions implemented across the different sectors; - Unintended / unexpected effects / risks linked to emergency support actions; - Main strengths, gaps or shortcomings of the current system. Otherwise the Regulation will miss the point. Please try to be more problem-oriented. Secondly, since the refugee and immigration coping has already been disastrous and criticized seriously and widely, we suggest an in-depth and thorough investigation and review be conducted first, and then draw some lessons therefrom for possible application in other emergency situations. As to the specific approaches taken in these years, it can be seen they were drifting, hand-free and out of control. In China, when such emergency occurs, we always enclosed an isolated area for them to temporally stay and live in. All provisions could be sent in continuously. Political correctness is subdued to feasibility and balance of interest is always needed. Rotten parts should in no way affect the straight, otherwise the straight part is disabled in supporting the affected. As a result of a misconception, like in a drowning, neither the rescuer nor the drowned can escape.
