Initiative on the European Works Council Directive

Employment and social affairs

This initiative aims at strengthening the European Works Councils and ensuring that they are able to exercise their information and consultation rights, while enabling undertakings to take decisions effectively. It takes account of the Resolution of the European Parliament of 2 February 2023 with recommendations to the Commission on ‘Revision of European Works Councils Directive’.
