Managing EU climate risks
Climate action
As reiterated by the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, climate change is causing unavoidable increases of physical impacts. Based on the scientific European Climate Risk Assessment report, the Communication will identify areas for further internal work to better manage the related risks in the EU. The ultimate aim of the initiative is to ensure that policymakers can make explicit and informed decisions about the acceptability of risks and the trade-offs involved in mitigating these risks.
