New requirements for transport and storing of fishery products.

Food safety

The draft amends Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 in order to allow the use of certain boxes filled with water and ice, so called “tubs”, for the transport and storage of fresh fishery products, and the use of the “superchilling” technique for the transport of fresh fishery products, while maintaining the same high level of food safety. It follows positive EFSA Opinions.
