In line with the political guidelines for the European Commission of 2024-2029, this legislative initiative will review the current mandate of the European Union Law Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol). It aims to reinforce Europol’s operational role in providing an adequate, effective and efficient response to the changing security landscape and to the most serious forms of crime and terrorism online and offline.
