Review ecodesign electric motors and variable speed drives.

In 2019, the EU adopted a revised ecodesign measure on electric motors and variable speed drives that sets minimum energy efficiency requirements and information requirements for these products. This is generating substantial energy savings for end-users. The EU is now reviewing this measure in light of technological progress, identifying areas where further energy savings, technological improvements, reduction of environmental impacts and improvement of circular economy, can be achieved.
