Review of ecodesign and information requirements for external power supplies (EPS)

Energy

The Commission aims to review the EU requirements for external power supplies adopted in 2019 and applicable since 2020. The review aims to promote interoperability, facilitate the USB power delivery protocol, and introduce improved consumer information requirements to help them identify EPSs/chargers that are suitable for their devices. At the same time, the Commission will review a range of other technical aspects.
