Review of the Supplementary Guidelines to the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption

Competition

An evaluation concluded that the justifications for the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation remain valid, and that some of the provisions of the Supplementary Guidelines could benefit from limited and targeted updating to reflect the main technology development in the automotive industry since 2010. The Commission proposes to prolong the Regulation by five years and to introduce such updates to the Guidelines.

Automotive distributors urge stronger rules on spare parts access
