This act establishes the provisions regarding the certificate of inspection issued by control bodies and control authorities in non-EU countries for organic products intended to be imported into the European Union (EU). In addition, the act defines the official controls carried out by Member States on the organic products at the entry into the EU. Finally, the act includes the obligations of control bodies and control authorities in case of non-conformities found during the official controls.
