This delegated act aims at updating the vehicle categories to be tested for vehicle periodical and technical roadside roadworthiness tests, following changes in the type approval legislation. It also aims at adopting the list of test items for periodical vehicle inspections in order to include eCall. E-call is a system that provides an automated message to the emergency services following a road crash that includes the precise crash location, introduced by Regulation 2015/758/EU.
