Union prevention, preparedness, and response plan for health crises

Public health

Prevention, preparedness, and response planning are essential elements of the EU health security framework. The initiative will promotes effective and coordinated response to cross-border threats to health at EU, Member State/European Economic Area country levels. It will complement national prevention, preparedness and response plans and will enable synergies between the Member States, the Commission and relevant Union agencies or bodies. The plan will be tested, reviewed and updated as necessary.
