Response to Animal welfare labelling for food

The Animal Transportation Association welcomes the initiative from the EU to revise the legislation on Animal Welfare and we welcome the opportunity to give our vision as well. We are also ready to cooperative with the Commission and other stakeholders to improve all aspects of the transportation of animals. Response to The Information Management System for Official Controls regulation (IMSOC)

our comment is about article 36 in regards to the sharing of the data. We feel that data should be possible to be obtained by a different operator in another member state. At the moment data can be obtained by the competent authority and also by the party that has made the Traces document however when a shipment is checked by the competent authority in one member state and then transported to another member, the traces data is necessary for doing the customs clearance. If we want to go completly digital there should be a possible for the person that makes the traces document to also add another party so they have access to this data. Clearance of shipments from 3rd countries are done mainly by customs brokers and they are the ones that will need to receive the Traces document.
