As ELTA - European LGBTQ+ Travel Alliance - we advocate for hospitality being a strategy to push the public sector to consider how much inclusion of diversities can help society to tackle prejudice and move forward in terms of civil rights. This means that, as far as the travel industry is concerned, it can be a concrete trailblazer, both for staff management and for quality of safety for the LGBTQ+ Community in Europe. Beyond economics, Companies should consider diversity management as a strategy to grow on markets, by advocating for concrete actions also with their staff: Recruitment should avoid prejudice, guarantee equal treatments, support policies to tackle violence and prejudice. Each Nation should help the private sector achieving these goals as expression of national welfare, It has been proved that equity and inclusion can make societies more resilient, open and hospitable. This is particularly important for the LGBTQ+ community, which does need help to get rid of hatred and unjustified violence.
