Justice and fundamental rights

Discrimination targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) people has no place in our society, but for many people in Europe it is a daily reality. For this reason, the Commission proposes a new strategy to combat the inequalities experienced by LGBTIQ people. The initiative will build on the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2020-2025 and focus on hate-motivated harassment and violence, and on banning conversion practices.
