The European Banking Industry Committee (EBIC) aims to allow the representatives of the European banking industry to: - exchange views and information on matters of common interest; - ensure a representative and coordinated industry view on issues of common interest throughout the process of drafting, adopting, implementing and enforcing EU-financial legislation; - provide advice to the European institutions on initiatives, both at legislative and implementing levels.

Response to Mortgage credit – review of EU rules

The European Banking Industry Committee (EBIC) welcomes the opportunity to comment on the Review of the Mortgage Credit Directive. EBIC has chosen to provide the more general, high-level set of comments and considerations in attachment as a complement to the individual questionnaire and call for evidence responses provided by each of the EBIC associations (and their members) which can be consulted separately.
