EFF

European Franchise Federation (EFF), founded in 1972, is the single professional platform that speaks for and defends the interests of the franchise industry in Europe, in particular with regards to the EU and international institutions. It is a not-for-profit association established in Brussels, Belgium. Its members are the accredited franchise associations from countries in the EU28 as well as countries in the process of accession. The EFF community is founded on and committed to promoting the values in the EFF’s Code of Ethics for Franchising. Its governing body is composed exclusively of accredited representatives from franchise companies. in Europe there are: • over 14,000 individual franchised BRANDS, • over 700,000 individual franchised businesses (FRANCHISEES), • more than 4 million people in direct EMPLOYMENT and a • FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION to the European economy of 350 billion euros. This is more than the combined total of franchising activities in the Usa, Canada, Australia & Brazil.
