Response to Sustainable transport investment plan

The focus on sustainable fuels for waterborne and aviation is important. We sense that the urban and regional mobility networks could be better aligned as a whole including waterborne and aviation. While improved fuels will certainly cut down on emissions, its the emerging value of collaboration that needs to de addressed. Such value can be leveraged to improve efficiency and investments in all types of transport. The discussions within the industry are on data, easy accessibility by overcoming ticketing hurdles, and cost/dependency reduction on technologies and schemes that actually conflict with EU regulations. The mindset of working together in the mobility domain requires more attention for it is not in the financing but the mobility fostered economy that true value is found. In that sense urban and regional mobility networks add huge value, which remains untapped working in silos.
