The Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC) welcomes the European Commissions initiative on the Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act. We strongly support its ambition to accelerate decarbonisation across energy-intensive industries while ensuring industrial competitiveness and resilience. As an international coalition committed to achieving net-zero emissions in the steel sector by 2050, GSCC offers several observations and recommendations in the attached file.
