La Plataforma para el impulso de la logística en el NO de España está constituida por las Organizaciones de empresarios y por las Cámaras de Comercio de Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria y León, a la que se suman y dan apoyo las Universidades, los municipios, los Colegios profesionales y otras muchas organizaciones de la sociedad civil.

Response to Evaluation of the rail freight network

The revised EU Rail freight network corridors should integrate the maritime dimension of the Transeuropean Transport Networks by the extension of the current layout to the maritime ports. Consequently, the new sections proposed on Connecting Europe Facility II (CEF II) in the core network Atlantic Corridor: Valladolid-León- Gijón and León-A Coruña/Vigo should be integrated on the Rail freight corridor IV (Atlántic). Moreover, in order to enhance the importance of the integration of the rail and the maritime dimensions of the TEN, the new Regulation should consider the case of the land-maritime corridor that would include a rail section in country A-a maritim Motorway of the sea-a rail section in country B.This is ,f.i., the case of the spanish rail section Valladolid-Gijón connecting with the french rail section Nantes Saint Nazaire-Tours through the MoS Gijón-Saint Nazaire. Similarly through the ports of Vigo and A Coruña. The proposal is fully justifided because the "Maritime bridge" can solve the problem of the iberian gauge until the nordwest corner of the iberian peninsula migrate to the standard gauge.
