Response to Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030

Swity d.o.o. Comment on the EU Gender Equality Strategy 20262030 Swity d.o.o. Gradačac, a fruit and vegetable processing company with 43 employees, of whom 19 are women, strongly supports the EUs efforts to strengthen gender equality. Women at Swity play a key role in the production process and hold managerial positions in production, legal and HR services, accounting, and quality control. We especially highlight that due to the seasonal nature of fruit and vegetable processing, the number of women employed increases further during the season, which actively contributes to the employment of women in rural areas. Swity regularly organizes occupational health and safety training, and equal opportunities in employment and career advancement are an integral part of our corporate culture. We recommend that the new EU Gender Equality Strategy: - Provides targeted support for SMEs in rural areas to hire and train women. - Supports dual education and practical training for women in the food processing sector. - Encourages projects that link green transition goals with gender equality. - Enables easier access to grants for companies actively working on inclusion and gender balance. In addition, Swity commits to providing its employees with accessible materials, training opportunities, and awareness-raising activities on gender equality, recognising that a lack of community engagement and education on this topic remains a challenge in our local environment. Swity d.o.o. expresses its commitment to continue strengthening the role of women in all business segments and to contribute to the exchange of good practices at the EU level.

Response to Mid-Term Review: Social Economy Action Plan

Swity d.o.o. Gradačac podržava opredijeljenost Evropske unije ka poboljšanju mogućnosti zapošljavanja mladih i jačanju regionalnog ekonomskog razvoja kroz ciljane investicije. Kao kompanija specijalizovana za preradu voća i povrća, posvećena održivosti, digitalizaciji i razvoju ruralnih sredina, pozdravljamo programe poput Evropskog socijalnog fonda (ESF) i Inicijative za zapošljavanje mladih (YEI).Na Zapadnom Balkanu, naročito u ruralnim i nedovoljno razvijenim područjima, nezaposlenost mladih predstavlja ozbiljan izazov. Smatramo da je izuzetno važno da EU programe podrške mladima poveže direktno s kompanijama koje rade na zelenom i inkluzivnom razvoju. Pristup sufinansiranju obuka, pripravničkog staža i digitalnih vještina pomogao bi malim i srednjim preduzećima poput našeg da privuku mlade talente i osiguraju njihovu dugoročnu integraciju na tržište rada. Predlažemo da EU: - Pojednostavi pristup finansiranju za mala i srednja preduzeća iz ruralnih sredina, - Podrži dualno obrazovanje i učenje kroz rad, - Promoviše zelene vještine i inovacije u prehrambenoj industriji kroz ESF+, - Poveže poslovni sektor sa lokalnim obrazovnim institucijama.
