Response to Fitness Check of EU consumer law on digital fairness

Trustpilot welcomes the opportunity to provide input to the Commission on the EU’s Digital fairness – fitness check on EU consumer law. Trustpilot is an online consumer reviews platform that brings businesses and consumers together to foster trust and inspire collaboration. Our vision is to become a universal symbol of trust for consumers and businesses everywhere. We are free to use, open to everybody and built on transparency. We welcome legislation that is introduced with the aim of protecting consumers from fake reviews, but in our view, additional refinement is needed to clarify and streamline the requirements and their application.
