EU Action Plan of Gender equality and women’s empowerment in external relations for 2021-2025

International cooperation and development

The Action Plan aims to renew the EU’s external agenda to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. It builds on the two previous Action Plans, aligning them with relevant policies and EU international commitments. These include the 2030 UN Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the UN Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for advancing women's rights and the UN Women, Peace and Security agenda.
