Hygiene rules on allergens, food redistribution and food safety culture

Food safety

The proposed revision of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 intends to enhance food safety requirements in the EU and to ensure alignment with new/revised global Codex standards (allergen management and food safety culture). In addition, it aims at providing safe redistribution of food in case of food donation and reducing food waste as part of the European Green Deal.
