Climate action

The amended LULUCF Regulation introduced a flexibility mechanism linked to natural disturbances (Art. 13b(6)). It can be used by Member States that have been either faced with the long-term impact of climate change beyond their control or the effects of an high proportion of organic soils result in excess emissions. Such circumstances must be justified. This Regulation will set out the structure, format, technical details and process for the submission of such evidence.
