The initiative will make targeted amendments to current rules on rental right and lending right and on certain rights related to copyright in the field of intellectual property. The goal of the amendment is to clarify and ensure legal certainty in relation to the remuneration of phonogram performers and producers from third countries when their records are played are played in the European Union on radio, TV and in public places such as bars and restaurants.
