Sustainability requirements for batteries

Single market

This initiative will explore, within the framework of the Strategic Action Plan on batteries, on targeted measures at EU level to make Europe a global leader in sustainable battery production and use. The main objective is to foster the growth of high performing, safe and sustainable battery cells and battery packs/modules that are produced with the lowest possible environmental footprint.
