Evaluation of the EU Animal Welfare Strategy (2012-2015)

Food safety

The EU Strategy for Protection and Welfare of Animals 2012-2015 aims at improving animal welfare standards and ensuring that these standards are applied and enforced. Following a 2018 recommendation of the European Court of Auditors we will evaluate the Strategy. The evaluation will assess the extent to which the EU Strategy delivered against its objectives and the extent to which those are relevant and coherent today. The evaluation will also consider the efficiency and EU added value criteria.
