Informative guidance on the Regulation on the Free flow of non-personal data

Digital economy and society

To cater for free flow of non-personal data, the European Parliament and the Council have adopted a Regulation that prohibits Member States from establishing data localisation requirements, unless this is justified by public security. The Commission will publish an informative guidance on the interaction of this legal framework with the General Data Protection Regulation, in particular as regards data sets composed of both personal and non-personal data.
