Danish trade unions demand respect for national labor models

They advocate for fair working conditions and a new European labor card to enforce workers' rights. Response to Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030

FEEDBACK Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030: The Danish Trade Union Confederation, FH supports and acknowledges the work that EU is doing to promote gender equality. The former Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 contains many topics that remain important to focus on going forward, for example, closing the gender care gap and reducing the gender-segregated labour market. Especially initiatives that break down the gender-segregated labour market are crucial for achieving equality and for tapping into all available talents. The labour market in Europe is divided into a men's team and a women's team, and that uneven gender balance poses a challenge not only for individuals but also for the labour market. The gender division in both education and the labour market are a shared responsibility among educators, employers, and trade unions. Thats why, at the Danish Trade Union Confederation, we work together with both public and private employers to find initiatives that reduce the gender-segregated labour market. The Danish Trade Union Confederation hope that reducing the gender-segregated labour market will be a priority in the new Gender Equality Strategy. Kind regards Danish Trade Union Confederation, FH
