Geopost takes good note of the European Commissions initiative to reform the European Postal Directive as well as the European EU cross-border parcel delivery services Regulation. Geopost strongly advocates for Option 1, to update and simplify the Postal Services Directive only, while the Cross-Border Parcels Regulation would remain unchanged. Option 1 aligns most effectively with the positive dynamics currently shaping the market and supports a sustainable, competitive environment.

Response to Clean corporate vehicles

Geopost recognises the potential that clean corporate fleet targets can have to propel the decarbonisation of the road transport sector and to boost the demand and production for zero-emission vehicles. Geopost believes that clean corporate fleets targets can only be effective if specific enabling conditions are first met, such as the implementation of a level playing field between all fleet owners and operators, the smooth deployment of supply-side measures and complementary regulatory initiatives that are vital for the transition.
