Majority of vehicle registrations in the EU is by corporate fleets. Accelerating the uptake of zero-emission vehicles in corporate fleets will support European automotive industry’s transition and contribute to emission reductions. Due to their rapid vehicle turnover such action will also accelerate the transition in 2nd hand car markets. At present, corporate registrations of zero-emission cars are behind private ones. The proposed legal instrument will set minimum requirements to mobilise this potential.
