As envisaged in the Mission Letter of Commissioner Kadis, the initiative will set out a strategic approach to our fisheries external action and present the intended action to ensure a level playing field and protect the European fisheries chain from unfair competition. This will be set in the context of the broader mission to develop a strategic approach to an EU ocean diplomacy and the EU’s wider regional strategies and priorities.
