Under the newly adopted Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, the Commission must maintain the Safety Gate Portal, an interface to inform the public about dangerous products. Through a separate section of this interface, consumers and others interested parties must have the possibility to inform the Commission of products that might present a risk to their health and safety. This implementing act sets out the modalities for the sending of information and the transmission of information to the national authorities concerned.
