New categorisation of infection with bluetongue virus

Listed animal diseases require different types of management measures. As regards bluetongue, recent experience in the control of this disease has shown great challenges to eradicate it, while at this moment the territorial scope of zones under an eradication programme is very limited in the EU wide context. The objective of this draft is to re-categorise infection with bluetongue virus as a category D disease.
