The Agency, EU authorising authority since 16 June 2019, has gained experience as regards its tasks for issuing vehicle authorisations, single safety certificates and the European Railway Traffic Management System trackside approvals. As concerns the fees and charges payable to the Agency, it has revealed significant and recurrent imbalance. It is essential to revise Agency’s fees and charges to ensure the revenue is sufficient to cover the full cost of the services provided by the Agency.
