Response to Revision of the REMIT Implementing Regulation on data reporting

Thank you for the opportunity to share our view on the draft regulation. Please find our points in the attached file. In addition to this, we would like to highlight the following points: - Article 4, paragraph 9c) The consumption unit in Article 2, paragraph 11 is only defined for gas and electricity and not for hydrogen. - Article 4, paragraph 8b) For the corresponding definitions in gas in Article 3 (b) (i) the transactions relating to the transportation are those between between entry-exit systems in the Union and between entry-exit systems in the Union and transmission systems outside of the Union. The same specification should be applied for hydrogen -> transactions relating to the transportation of hydrogen in the Union between entry-exit systems in the Union and between entry-exit systems in the Union and transmission systems outside of the Union - Article 17, paragraph 2: The German core grid is designed for the year 2032. It is sufficient that Article 4(8) shall apply from 1 July 2032 instead of 1 July 2028 which is too early considering the currently slow ramp-up of the hydrogen market. Reducing bureaucratic burdens for hydrogen should be a priority.

Please find the attached the position of GASCADE Gastransport GmbH regarding the consultation on the wholesale energy markets improving EU protection against market manipulation (consultation on REMIT). GASCADE Gastransport GmbH completely endorses the position of FNB Gas e. V. in the consultation on the European Commissions proposal for amending Regulations (EU) No 1227/2011 and 2019/942 and supports all proposals made therein.
