Update of common rules for the allocation of slots at European Union airports

Current slot relief to address the impact of COVID-19 is applicable until 29 October 2022. While air traffic is resuming, sudden shocks because of countries imposing sanitary measures restricting travel in case of new variants may still occur. The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and closure of airspaces is also having an effect on the operation of slots. This initiative aims to extend the alleviation and address unexpected pandemic developments and consequences of the war in Ukraine.
