Cancer Screening Recommendation

Public health

In Europe’s Beating cancer plan, the Commission announced a new cancer screening scheme to help Member States ensure that 90% of the EU population who qualify for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings are offered screening by 2025. A key element of this new scheme will be the update of the 2003 Council Recommendation on cancer screening based on scientific advice, and possibly extending screening to other types of cancer.
