The rapid evolution of security risks has demonstrated that the EU needs to reinforce its preparedness and response against public health threats, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats. This initiative will support the preparedness and response to these public health threats by ensuring that medical countermeasures are available when needed.
