Education and training

Higher education in Europe has to face up and adapt to changing conditions linked to climate, technology, demography and the COVID-19 pandemic. EU’s prosperity depends on excellent universities, as it needs innovation and a well-skilled workforce. With this initiative, the Commission intends to support the higher education sector in managing change and playing a leading role in achieving EU’s policy goals.
