Recommendation on covert interference from third countries

Home affairs

The initiative aims to support the functioning of the internal market and strengthen EU democracies against interference from third countries, complementing the rules establishing harmonised requirements on transparency of covert interference by third countries. It would also include provisions addressed to Member States and political parties on funding from countries outside the European Economic Area of political actors. The initiative follows up on the Conference on the Future of Europe.
