Recommendation to promote the development of innovative forms of solar energy deployment

The EU solar energy strategy states that innovative forms of solar energy deployment will need to play an important and increasing role in order to meet the EU’s renewable energy targets. It identifies five types: agri-PV, floating PV, transport infrastructure PV, building-integrated PV and vehicle-integrated PV. To help tackle the barriers they face, the Commission will issue guidance to the Member States, which will accompany the Recommendation.
