Revised marketing standards for fresh fruit and vegetables, bananas, nuts, dried fruit and pulses

Agriculture and rural development

This initiative aims at encouraging the supply of more sustainable fruit and vegetable products to consumers, improving transparency as regards the origin of pulses, modernising outdated provisions, simplifying the current legislation on marketing standards, and aligning it with the requirements of the Lisbon Treaty. The Commission’s Work Programme 2020 lists marketing standards as an area for action, and its Farm to Fork Strategy envisages a revision of marketing standards.
