Review of the EU rules on Motor Vehicle Block Exemption

Competition

The block exemption rules in competition policy for motor vehicles will expire on 31 May 2023. The evaluation that was conducted in 2018/2020 concluded that the justifications for the rules remain valid. The Commission therefore proposes to prolong the Regulation by five years.

Independent repairers may face continued disadvantages accessing vehicle data during regulatory uncertainty.
