European Disability Card

Employment and social affairs

The European Disability Card will facilitate free movement of persons with disabilities in the EU. It aims at mutually recognising disability status certified in EU Member States with regard to preferential conditions for some services in other EU countries. It should build on the pilot EU Disability Card (covering culture, leisure, sport, transport) and apply more broadly to services in the internal market. It will also consider incorporating the EU parking card for persons with disabilities.
